Welcome to Keynsham & District Mencap Society.
Keynsham & District Mencap work to improve the
lives and opportunities of children and adults with a wide range
of
learning disabilities.
The charity offers a variety of social and leisure opportunities for children and adults.
The charity covers BANES, Bristol and South Glos with a membership of 150.
Members ages range from 5 - 18 years for junior clubs with adult clubs for 18 years and over. The members have a broad range of needs and disabilities, from severe learning and physical disabilities to Challenging Behaviour, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebal Palsy and Attention Deficit Disorder.
Keynsham & District Mencap Society is a registered charity; we rely entirely on grants, donations and fundraising as we receive no statutory funding. Keynsham & District Mencap Society is affiliated to, but not funded by National Mencap.
Please note that we are not part of the Cooperative's fundraising activities, bucket collections, events, etc. The Co-op are fundraising for Royal Mencap nationally. If you want to support people in Keynsham with a learning disability please check that our name is on any collection bucket. If in doubt, feel free to give us a call.
